La Canigiana was born out of a desire to offer guests an authentic Tuscan experience with lovely views, warm hospitality and comfortable, yet characteristic, vacation accommodations. It all started in 1999 when they began to cultivate the land, specializing in organic, single-fruit variety extra virgin olive oil, as well as Mirto and lavender. They now offer two apartments for an intimate encounter with the environment, the culture and the flavors of the region surrounding Florence.
GIVING YOU AN AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE
It was the owners' intention to create an environment reminiscent of a Tuscan farmhouse while at the same time ensuring an intimate appeal for those looking for relaxation while on vacation. There are only two apartments for a max of 3 persons each. The first is called “La Rimessa” and it is located on the ground floor with a truly special panoramic terrace. The second vacation rental apartment is called “Il Fienile” and it is situated on the first floor of the antique barn. This accommodation boasts a private patio and garden area with tables and chairs for an outdoor picnic.
Both apartments are comprised of a double bedroom with a private bathroom and a kitchen with the option of a sofa bed for a third guest. The apartments are furnished with a ceiling fan in the bedrooms. In addition, guests have complete WiFi access, however, the owners have opted to not include a TV so as to encourage their guests to make the most of the wonderful views.
Upon request, the apartments have a communicating door and can be connected creating a spacious independent vacation villa for up to 6 persons. Guests will enjoy the well-maintained garden area where they can enjoy BBQ dinners and relaxing sunset hours. La Canigiana also maintains an organic vegetable garden where the guests are encouraged to savor authentic Tuscan flavors for their meals.
Small Towns & Historic Cities
The lovely garden, breathtaking views and private pool make it all very tempting to never leave the holiday rentals during your stay. However, La Canigiana is conveniently located close to many of the important landmarks of Tuscany, especially Florence with its many art museums and Siena with its unique city square.
The vacation apartments, are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, Chianti hills and small towns which invite you to wander and stroll, taking in the fragrances and colors of the landscape. Yet at the same time, with only a short drive, you can visit local markets and artisans, small boutiques, typical restaurants and charming small towns.
