Palazzuolo sul Senio is a nice medieval village in Mugello, located on the Romagna side of the Appennines. The town and its surroundings offer many religious buildings to visit, like parish churches and interesting villas - Villa di Gruffieto deserves a particular mention, there the famous Italian poet Dino Campana used to stay, he was born and lived in the nearby Marradi - worthy to be visited. If you are keen on culture, traditions and historical local habits, there are two museums you should not miss out: the Archaeological Museum of Alto Mugello, dedicated to local prehistorical findings, and the Museum of the Genti di Montagna, where the traditional farmers’ tools are preserved.

The town also offers many outdoor activities to do in the marvellous Mugello valley, as well as many folkloristic manifestations you should absolutely take part in, like the medieval event Alla Corte degli Ubaldini, usually hold in September.
