Pelago is a small municipality in Florence surroundings, about 25 km distance. The territory, that varies from forests to mountains and green hills with olive trees and vineyards, is very interesting to visit for both nature and culture lovers. Many outdoor activities - like trekking or horseback excursions - may be arranged in the surroundings, that also offer plenty of parish churches to see, among which the beautiful Vallombrosa abbey.

Pelago is a noteworthy locality of Florence province thanks to the traditional and folkloristic events that take place all year round: Sagra del Cinghiale and Tortello in May, a food manifestation dedicated to the typical products, Diacetum Festival on July and August for all music and theatre passionate just to mention a few.

Obviously, all the area is particularly rich in rural accommodation thanks to the proximity to Florence - which is well connected by public transport - and the marvellous natural context that offer a peaceful location for taking a rest from daily life.
